Ms. Juncker
Hello, I'm Cori Juncker. I founded Create and Learn Lab in August of 2022, driven by a career I adore and a deep belief that my passion shines through in how I interact with children and shape our program. I'm incredibly fortunate to lead a talented team who share my enthusiasm for working with children.
With over 25 years in education, I've had a rich career journey. As a proud mom to three wonderful young men (twins aged 23 and 22), I've had the privilege of growing up in Costa Mesa, attending Irvine Valley College, Cal State Fullerton (where I earned my BA in Child Development), and National University (where I obtained my Master's Degree and Teaching Credential). My career has spanned roles as a preschool teacher, elementary school teacher, evaluator of preschool programs, and educational coach with the Orange County Department of Education.
Creating a nurturing, creative space where children can learn and thrive brings me immense joy. Teaching and enriching the lives of young learners is not just my profession but my passion. With my wealth of experience and zest for life, I'm confident your children will thrive and have a wonderful time under my care. My ultimate dream is for every child to learn in their unique way, embrace new experiences, show kindness, and above all, find happiness. I look forward to getting to know your little one!
Ms. Jazmin
Hello everyone, my name is Jazmin De La Torre. I'm delighted to be a part of the Create and Learn Lab team. Last spring, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Childhood and Adolescent Development from California State Fullerton, and I'm currently pursuing my Teaching Credential at the same institution with a focus on enhancing my skills and knowledge to better serve young learners. I am actively pursuing my Bilingual Authorization Credential, scheduled for completion by July 2024. This credential will equip me with the tools and knowledge to support bilingual students effectively, ensuring they thrive in our diverse and inclusive learning environment here at Create and Learn Lab.
I have a variety of hobbies such as walking, biking, cooking, and exploring new destinations through travel. These activities not only provide me with personal fulfillment but also enrich my understanding of different cultures and experiences, which I bring into my teaching practice.
Working with children has been an immensely rewarding experience for me. Their boundless enthusiasm and natural curiosity never fail to inspire me. Each day brings new surprises and learning moments, where I witness their growth and development firsthand. It's incredibly fulfilling to see the spark of understanding light up in their eyes, knowing that I've played a part in their educational journey.
Ms. Takach
My name is Kelli Takach and I have watched my sister Cori create a unique environment for students of all ages to grow and learn and am so excited to join in her passion. We both have a love of children, education and connecting with families.
I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Masters in Education and a multiple subject teaching credential. I have taught 4th grade, was a full time reading teacher for 7 years in Fullerton and Newport Mesa School Districts and was a lead preschool teacher for 10 years at Temple Bat Yahm.
I am trained and certified in Orton Gillingham Comprehensive and Morphology (both based in the science of reading) and have years of experience using SIPPS, dibels, wonders, go math and bridges.
My favorite part about teaching is seeing my students connect with the content and apply it independently. I love to have students set goals and track their progress. To watch as they master new skills and reflect back on their successes is inspiring.
When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my 2 amazing daughters (13 and 18), reading, hiking, traveling and playing games and doing puzzles.
Ms. Madi
Hello! My name is Madi. I have been a part of CLL for for the last year. I'm currently studying at Mt. SAC, where I'm training to become an ASL interpreter for K-12 classrooms. Some of my favorite hobbies include improv, crafts, and spending time outside. What I love most about working with kids is their kindness and creativity, which constantly inspire me. I enjoy playing games, doing crafts, and sometimes we play make-believe, which also helps me practice my improv skills.
Ms. Riley
My name is Riley Roman. I recently attended Baylor University, and I am still pursuing my degree in management and environmental science. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, paddle boarding, and spending time with loved ones. I love working with kids because of their curiosity and energy. My favorite part is seeing their faces light up when they grasp new concepts or overcome challenges.
Ms. Kati
Hi!! My name is Kati Patterson. I’m so excited to be working at Create and Learn Lab. I am excited to get to know all of the kids! I will be starting school in the fall at Golden West College to study Psychology. In the future, I hope to become an FBI agent or work with children in social services. I love staying active, going to the beach, and listening to music! My favorite thing about working with children is being someone who is always there for them and making them feel special. I love helping them in every way possible and watching them grow as people. Plus, their laughter and high energy are contagious!
